Position: Sales Director (SD)

Responsible for the administration of sales and the move-in program. The Director will plan, develop, and implement a departmental strategy that maintains a community occupancy level consistent with goals. The Director establishes and implements policies and procedures, develops staffing plans, reports, and budgets and coordinates with other departments. The Director is responsible for supervising, goal setting, evaluating, and counseling all members of the sales and marketing department. The Director is expected to hold the sales team accountable to sales activity and sales result goals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish goals oversee the daily operations of the department to attain or maintain targeted occupancy levels. Maintain compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines. Monitor efficiency and effectiveness of departmental activities.

Plan ads, newsletters, and other advertising and public relations materials. Interface with the media

Plan, update and conduct sales and marketing presentations. Provide tours of the facility as part of strategic sales initiative.

Actively contribute towards improving public relations, increasing positive public regard and overall 

Develop and actively participate in the Outreach Program by providing necessary resources, building contacts, creating awareness and garnering goodwill overall.

Plan and monitor the Move-in program to ensure the highest level of coordination and communication with new residents and their families.

Supervise, schedule, evaluate, and counsel the staff of the sales and marketing department.

Act as Resident liaison and advocate to the Executive Director.

Advise on long range planning, introduction of new programs, and regulatory interaction. Provide reports and recommendations to the Executive Director.

Monitor coordination of department services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care. Coordinate with other staff members in scheduling events and use of facilities.

Continue to develop job related knowledge, skills and abilities by participating in continuing educational

 Design and implement the annual sales and marketing plan.

 Complete appropriate forms, reports, evaluations, and studies.

Attend in-service classes and staff meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university, with major work in marketing or related field required.

At least three (1-3) years of progressively responsible work experience in marketing, the senior living care.

Valid state driver’s license (and liability insurance) to use personal vehicle for Marketing travel required.

Industry, or related field required.

•  Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and on-call when necessary to meet the needs of our residents.
